Remaining material

While we did lose two weeks of class time, the good news is that four of the five graded lab assignments were assigned and their due dates were well before the hurricane and the nor'easter swept through the area, knocking out power and closing the school.

The bad news is that many of you have not been keeping up with your assignments. There are currently twenty students enrolled in this section. Of those twenty, six of you have not turned in a single one of the four required lab assignments which are now past due: you are failing the course. Three students each are missing two labs: you are also failing. Three more students are missing one lab each: you are currently swimming in the dangerous D zone. The remaining eight students have completed all of the assigned material in a timely fashion and have grades to reflect that: each of you has an average between 97 and 100% - well done.

If you are not in the group of eight - and you know if you are by how many of the labs you have finished, you must contact me right away.

We have only one unit remaining of new material. This is a good thing since it means that we should have plenty enough time to both cover the material in class and for everyone to complete their assignments. Before starting the new topics on Thursday, I am planning to go back a bit and to do a little review since I suspect that most of you lost power and probably could use a bit of a refresher.
