Revised withdrawal date

While students desiring to withdraw from a fall term course will still need to secure counselor approval, the final dates to withdraw have been revised.

Write a program called compare.bas which requests two values from the user and prints out a mathematical sentence which shows which value is greater than the other.

Last month, I posted an alert regarding several Apple products had been stolen from students in the Bankier Library.

Late lab assignments

As I have reminded you previously in class, there are ten lab assignments which are mandatory for passing comp 128. Most students in this section have remained up to date in all of the lab assignments, however, some students have been delinquent in their lab assignment submissions since well before the storms and their associated power outages. We are rapidly approaching the end of the semester and time is running out. Yesterday, I sent emails to each student in the class providing current lab average and which, if any, labs are missing.

Monitoring interval #5

The fifth and final monitoring interval for the fall 15-week term ends Tuesday, November 27th. The registrar's office will be printing and mailing alert letters later in the week. Students who are irregular in attendance, stopped coming to class altogether, fail assignments, and/or neglect to submit assignments will be reported as such and notified that they are in danger of failing this course.

Library - extended hours

The Library has scheduled extended hours for the rest of the Fall term, with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 22 – 25) when the Library is closed.

Remaining material

While we did lose two weeks of class time, the good news is that four of the five graded lab assignments were assigned and their due dates were well before the hurricane and the nor'easter swept through the area, knocking out power and closing the school.
